Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has released two employment jobs advertisement notifications for the recruitment of 654 Assistant Architect & Junior Engineer (Civil) Posts under Public Works (Building & National Highway) Department [PW(B&NH)D] and under joint cadre of Public Works Roads Department (PWRD) & Public Works (Building & NH) Department respectively. Vacancy Details PWD Assam Recruitment 2025 For 654 Assistant Architect & Junior Engineer Posts:

1. Assistant Architect

No of posts: 4 posts

Category-wise vacancy:

Name of department: Public Works (Building & National Highway) Department [PW(B&NH)D]

Scale of Pay: Rs. 30,000/- to Rs.1,10,000/-GP: Rs. 12,700/- Pay Band – 4

 

Age Limit: The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01/01/2025.

 

Educational Qualification: Bachelors Degree in Architecture from an Indian or Foreign University recognized by the Government.

 

2. Junior Engineer (Civil)

No of posts: 650 posts

Name of department:  Joint cadre of Public Works Roads Department (PWRD) & Public Works (Building & NH) Department

Scale of Pay: Rs. 14,000/- to Rs.70,000/-GP: Rs. 8,700/- Pay Band – 2 

 

Age Limit: The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 40 years of age as on 01/01/2025.

 

Educational Qualification:  

 
i) Candidate must have 3 years Diploma in Civil Engineering/ Civil Engineering & Planning/ Construction Technology from any technical institute recognized by AICTE.
ii) The Diploma course must be a regular course. 

Other Eligibility Criteria:

Age Relaxation: The category-wise age relaxation is as mentioned below.

# SC: 5 years
# ST: 5 years
# OBC/ MOBC: 3 years
# PwBD: 10 years

Citizenship: Candidates must be Indian Citizens as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.

Resident-ship:

(i) The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam.
(ii) The candidate must produce PRC issued in Assam for educational purpose/ Employment Exchange Registration certificate as proof of residency along with the application form.  

 

Small Family Norms: The candidates have to submit a declaration regarding “The Small Family Norms” in Form-A at the time of applying for the post.
