1. Postal Assistant
No of posts: 7

Division-wise vacancy:

• Darrang Division: 1
• Dibrugarh Division: 1
• Nagaon Division: 1
• Sivasagar Division: 2
• Tinsukia Division: 1
• Darrang Division:
• Savings Bank Control Organization (SBCO): 1

Educational Qualification: 

i) 12th Passed & 

ii) The candidate will be required to furnish certificate of Basic Computer Training from o recognized Computer Training Institute. 

Age Limit: Between 18-27 years. (Relaxable by 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST), 

Pay: Rs.25,500 to Rs.81,100 in Level-4 pay matrix. 

2. Sorting Assistant
No of posts: 03 posts

Division-wise vacancy:

• RMS GH (Guwahati) Division: 2
• RMS S (Silchar) Division: 1

Educational Qualification: 

i) 12th Passed & 

ii) The candidate will be required to furnish certificate of Basic Computer Training from o recognized Computer Training Institute. 

Age Limit: Between 18-27 years. (Relaxable by 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST), 

Pay: Rs.25,500 to Rs.81,100 in Level-4 pay matrix. 

3. Postman
No of posts: 04 posts

Division-wise vacancy:

• Guwahati Division: 2
• Dibrugarh Division: 1
• Sivasagar Division: 1

Educational Qualification: 

i) 12th Passed & 

ii) Knowledge of LOCAL LANGUAGE i.e. Assamese/Bengali/Bodo. The candidate should hove studied local language as o subject at least up to 10rh standard.

iii) The person appointed to the post of Postman shall acquire o driving licence to drive two wheeler or three wheeler or Light Motor Vehicle within o period of two years from the date of his appointment. However, the person with disability shall be exempted from the requirement of driving licence. 

iv) The candidate will be required to furnish certificate of Basic Computer Training from o recognized Computer Training Institute. 

Age Limit: Between 18-27 years. (Relaxable by 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST), 

Pay: Rs.21,700 to Rs.69,100 in Level-3 pay matrix. 

4. Multi Tasking Staff (MTS)
No of posts: 03 posts

Educational Qualification: 

i) 10th Passed & 

ii) Knowledge of LOCAL LANGUAGE i.e. Assamese/Bengali/Bodo. The candidate should hove studied local language as o subject at least up to 10rh standard.

Age Limit: Between 18-25 years. (Relaxable by 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST), 

Pay: Rs.18,000 to Rs.56,900 in Level-1 pay matrix. 

 

Sports Qualification: 

Sports eligibility for the Post of Postal Assistant / Sorting Assistant/ Postman / MTS:

i) Sportsmen who hove represented o Slate or the country in the Notional or International competition in any of the games / sports listed at para no.8

ii) Sportsmen who hove represented their University in the Inter-University tournaments conducted by the lnior-Univo6ity Sports Board in any of the games /sports listed at para no.8

iii) Sportsmen who hove represented the State Schools Terms in the Notional Sports / Gomes for schools conducted by the All India School Gomes Federations in any of the games / sports listed at para no.8

iv) Sportsmen who hove been awarded National Awards in Physical Efficiency under the Notional Physical Efficiency Drive.
